Something to Behold

From time to time I am taken aback by my wife and her beauty.  We have almost spent 2 years together in the refinement of marriage.  These have been two years of unfathomable value to me.  My wife is perhaps the single greatest teacher I have.  I often find her to be the impetus of growth and the balm to my wounds.  I am the recipient of untold grace, support, and encouragement from her.

She is a tool of the the great Craftsman used to soften my hard edges; smoothing the rough grain of my personality.  I frequently find her to be beautifully meek and fragile, an object that can only be handled with the gentle hands of a curator.  Her nature is such that she causes me to ease to a standstill and, mouth and eyes agape, drink her in.

My wife is one of the most beautiful creatures of God’s creation.  There is an uncontrollable giggle that often escapes her as she laughs at her own jokes.  She has the ability to place things about the house in such a way that they achieve their consummate beauty at her hand.  I have the privilege of breath-taking proximity to a living Renior–able to see every brushstroke contributing its part to the whole.
